We have several CHI products so when I needed a new flat iron, I immediately looked into the CHI brand.I am very impressed with this flat iron. I have been using it for about a month and when first opened and used, no smell or concern. It heats up very quickly and I really like the placement of the buttons on the interior, reducing inadvertently hitting the options and setting yourself back during your styling.This iron is used by two people in my household. One has thinner hair, but a lot of it. One has very thick hair with a slight natural curl. This flat iron works on both beautifully. And somehow, it adds a gorgeous shine when done.As with all my other CHI products, I would not hesitate to buy another or go to CHI first when looking to get a new hair styling tool. I would recommend this product!

Great straightener, heat so fast, make your hair shiny!
Its my first time use it, and im happy with it. Makes my hair easy straight cuz my hair kinda hard to style it and make it straight. It just when i try the heat into green light, little smell burn but my hair is great means nothing burn.When finish use it, looks shiny too! Hope it could last for 1 or 2 days the straight hair look.

Love this straightener. It does the job. A good price for the product. I have fine wavy hair. It takes so little work to be smooth and straight. And it stays that way. I use it on the lowest setting. I wish I had this when I first began using a straightener.

Good flat iron
I have used my old Remington flat iron for 2 years and it died on me. I used my friends CHI on vacation and was impressed by the quality, hers is 5-6 years old. CHI was recommended me to by several friends because of the quality and long lasting use. I love that this flat iron is dual voltage for travel. I ordered the CHI original and CHI G2 To compare, the only difference I noticed is the G2 has an 11 ft cord and the original has a 6.. I prefer the shorter cord. Also the G2 has color coded settings which I don’t believe is necessary- it’s just a selling point. Both flat irons heat up fast and work great however I chose to keep the original because it is a ceramic plate which is less damaging to hair over time. The G2 has titanium infused plates which can be drying and damaging to hair. My one complaint would be that I wish it had a lock feature for storage. I did reorder this on target because it was $50 cheaper… Overall I am happy with the CHI and looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it!
