You can beautify yourself inside and out
This is another boxed book set by Speedy Publishing it has a set of five books. These books are nicely organized in the content section of the Kindle which I find very pleasing. The first book by Lisa Patrick, has a plethora of natural recipes such as face masks, scrubs and lotions for a variety of skin conditions. I particularly like the fact that you can buy the ingredients over at a Whole Foods or a regular grocery store. These recipes look so simple, they are definitely worth trying out. The other chapters features body scrubs and other products such as hand and foot cream. She also stresses the importance of finding your skin type. I think I am a combination skin type since cheeks are a little dry and my nose oily. I found this is very simple, easy read. Perhaps when I have free time, I can have a natural beauty month.The second book by Francis Woodburn describes herbal remedies including chapters on hemp and a cautionary chapter on supplements. The chapter on pennyroyal described the many uses as well as a warning on the toxic effects of the herb. You can buy pennyroyal on Amazon but be warned, 5 grams or more can cause liver or brain damage. (Off my wish list now) On the other hand, I was surprised that basil has so many antioxidant effects on cold, flu and respiratory ailments. I will certainly make more Thai basil dishes from now on. Overall I found this book fascinating and will definitely reread at a later time.The next three books are from the same author, Juliana Baldec. The first was a smoothies recipe book. I liked her personal experiences on why she liked a particular recipe. There is a wealth on information on the nutritional qualities of the ingredients. Most of the recipes are pretty healthy with exception of one which contains half a cup of sugar, maybe it is a Orange Julius replica.I drink smoothies or juices everyday for breakfast so I will definitely try these recipes out.The juice book has many awesome juice recipes and nutritional facts about the ingredients. Lastly, there is a book on smoothie poetry that is rather whimsical and pointless in my opinion. These poems are arranged in alphabetical order. Perhaps the book’s original use was for children’s education purposes but for me personally I would rather read more smoothie recipes than poems.I received this book at a considerable discount for my honest and unbiased opinion.
