   A necessary part of my skin routine
   I’m 27 and on the healthier end of the spectrum, but I started getting little tiny sand paper bumps on my temples and jawline. For months it was just little bumps and I figured if I kept doing what I’d always done that had always worked then my skin would sort itself out eventually. Then within a few days they turned into deep cystic acne all over my cheeks, temples, and jawline. Like really bad. Like it looked like the sides of my face had been dragged across gravel. It was soooo red and swollen that it looked like an open wound. I have always had decent skin, not perfect by any means, but still good. So this is the first time in my life I’ve ever dealt with acne and all my normal go-to remedies for random break outs weren’t doing a darn thing. A friend who had been dealing with adult acne as well bought me the drying lotion which helped. But I could tell it wasn’t quite what my skin needed. So after looking at Mario Badescu’s line I realized that was more for spot treatment, and the buffering lotion was for cystic acne clusters. I’ve use this every other night and the next morning my skin is always SO MUCH BETTER.In the AM I wash with a benzoyl peroxide wash Stiefel PanOxyl 10 Percent Foaming Wash with a charcoal exfoliating sponge Konjac Sponge – Activated Charcoal – Facial Sponge, then I moisturize the heck out of my skin Facial Moisturizer, Organic and 100% Natural Face Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive, Oily or Severely Dry Skin – Anti-Aging and Anti-Wrinkle, for Women and Men. By Christina Moss Naturals. and apply a benzoyl peroxide cream on top of that Nature’s Cure Two-part Acne Treatment, Female 1-oz. I know many people say to apply the benzoyl peroxide cream first, but I’ve found my skin is much happier if I do it after the moisturizer and it still seems to dry out the cysts. I also was prescribed an antibiotic that I take with the tablet that comes with the benzoyl peroxide cream. I take fish oil, and a probiotic, and vitamin D, and a skin and hair blend also. I use makeup for acne prone skin as well and wash my brushes at least once a week.At night I wash with a sulfur soap- Grisi Sulfur Soap with Lanolin for Acne – 2 Pack with the sponge – then I put a prescription retinoid cream on then this buffering lotion (sometimes I moisturize depending on how my skin feels). And it seems to still be working really well. I’m still waiting for my acne to completely clear up, but it’s much much much better than it was a month ago. No more crazy deep painful cyst clusters.I’m guessing I could go without this with the prescription stuff I have. But I think it would take a lot longer. Since I use this every other night I can see the difference each morning. It’s always so much better the nights I use this than the nights I don’t.

   Brilliant product – just dry it out until it’s nearly a paste and it’s a miracle worker!
   I don’t get much acne anymore (but still more than I’d like at my age), but when I do it almost always seems to be an attack of those evil cystic spots that grow and grow and take forever to go away. I bought this stuff from amazon two years ago and have to admit, I thought it helped, but I definitely didn’t think holy grail. That is until I went travelling about six months and filled a small screw top little pot with this stuff (and another with Acnomel Adult Acne Medication Cream – 1.3 Oz).My face went a bit nuts a few weeks into my trip when I switched sunscreen and I broke out the tubs to deal with my break out. I found the buffering lotion had mostly evaporating leaving it slightly moist, wet enough to get a dot on my finger tip, but not wet enough to drip. I applied it and later Acnomel, my holy grail for all things acne since I discovered it (I’ve also tried other various similar treatments like Acnevir Acne & Redness Relief Gel-0.75, oz., that are clear and should work the same), but nothing does the job of clearing my skin and most importantly not drying it out so my zit may be gone, but now I’ve got a peeling face. Looks ick and is impossible to conceal.Once I figured out that I just needed to concentrate the product I started pouring a few squirts into a screw jar and leaving it open to allow most of the liquid to evaporate, once it’s close to gone, I seal the lid tight. Usually it keeps moist for about a month, but even when it’s dried out and I mix it with the Acnomel it works like a charm.So to those of you this hasn’t worked for as well as you hoped, try drying out the liquid and concentrating the heck out of this stuff. If you think you’re going to lose out and end up using more, don’t. I’m now actually using the stuff regularly and still have almost half a bottle.For the record, I still think Acnomel rocks for normal use and when combined with the concentrated Buffering lotion twice a day for a day or so, the cystic zit on the horizon disappears. Like gone. It doesn’t come back either. I’ve never had any luck with the Buffering Lotion though on normal spots or blackheads, but who cares? No more cystic acne!!!

   Toda mi vida desde adolescente sufro con granos. Este producto tiene un olor o y textura raros pero es el primero que funciona! Ya lo enseñe a varias amigas y todas se quedan asombradas de lo bien que funciona. Lo pongo por la noche y por la mañana tal vez no hay desaparecido el grano pero ya cambio muchísimo y en dos noches como máximo estará resuelto. Si

   Best thing I’ve found for my hormonal acne on my chin/jaw. Smells very strongly of alcohol when you apply it but generally it stops any deep under the skin bumps from getting into a full blown irritated red situation that takes ages to clear. It’s by no means a ‘miracle’ cure but for sure helps to keep my skin more under control than it has been

   This product is wonderful for break outs. At certain times of the month I’m prone to spots especially around the chin area and I find if I apply this at night before bed they’re really reduced in size and clear up within a few days. It does sting and it does feel very astringent and slightly eye-watering but it really seems to do the job. Make sure you give it a good shake before using as the product seems to seperate.

   It works on 60-70% of my spots. Some just come up as usual, but it’s worth it for the few that I know would turn into monster spots otherwise.
