A quick read packed with helpful skincare tips.
The author offered me a chance to read her book and write my honest review, which follows.Ms. Knight starts out by letting the reader know that she worked in the healthcare advertising industry, with a Masters degree in clinical research. There are seven sections in her book, as follows::Section 1: How to Understand Evidence, goes into detail how the reader can distinguish between marketing fluff vs proof. I found this information particularly helpful in realizing that the price of skincare does not guarantee quality; basic moisturizers work. If the buyer is looking for something more in skincare products, you should look for key words in the advertising such as “clinically proven to work” including a measurable difference in results.Section 2: Skincare Products and Moisturizers covers products you can use at home that are clinically proven to slow or reverse signs of skin aging. In this chapter the author includes a bonus section on recipes for making your own facial mask and scrub.Section 3: Tools and Devices covers tools for your skin that have been proven to work, including a copper infused pillowcase to minimize facial wrinkles, facial lasers and infrared light technology.Section 4: Natural Remedies, Nutrition and Hydration covers exercise, including facial exercise, purifying facial steams, makeup tips, supplements and healthy food choices.Section 5: Hair, Brows, Teeth, Lips, Neck and Muscle Tone gives the reader tips on how to maintain a youthful appearance.Section 6: Avoiding aging, covers ultra violet light, sugar, smoking and alcohol.Section 7: Building Your Youthful Routine includes a chart for putting the author’s tips to good use.

This is a very useful and practical book on anti-aging skincare!
I recently purchased and read Rachel Knight’s “Evidence Based Anti-Aging Skincare for All Budgets.” I am a woman entering midlife, so it’s a priority to take care of my skin. I found this particular book to be the most useful of those I have seen. The author has great knowledge in the subject matter and shares evidence based science on how to prevent and care for aging skin. She talks about different types of skincare products and their efficacy, as well as procedures such as laser. She discusses natural remedies and nutrition, food, diet, supplements, and hydration. She also touches on hair, teeth, lips, and muscle tone. She presents information on how to avoid the appearance of aging before it starts. And what I found to be the most useful item in this book is the worksheet she provides at the end, where you can keep track of how these skincare routines are working for you. I would recommend this book to friends, as I found it genuine and easy to comprehend, and the author has the proper credentials.

Informative
The research work done by the author on some of the daily products used by women is very informative. The tips and tricks to be tried at home for cheap and efficient anti-aging is a good option for people to try. Each section is provided with additional reference links which is a plus.4 star since I found it a little nerdy in the initial chapters. It’s a good read overall.

Great skincare advice and highly informative!
An incredibly educational and informative read. For anyone looking to read up more on skincare, and more importantly holistic, natural skincare! There are really great recipes on scrubs and moisturizers that anyone could make with a few ingredients (my favorite is the skin brightening lemon and greek yoghurt face mask and scrub!). This book is great for people looking for some help to change up their skincare routine, or for people who just want to learn more about what would work best for their skin! Highly recommend!

Learn the truth about skincare products.
The first thing I did when I finished the book was to google all my products, I had no idea about all the info that we’re missing when we bought a skincare products, you can also find some really interesting tips to prevent and control fine lines, and age gracefully. Easy to read with a lot of helpful info.

Informative, but missing some things.
A fantastic, well-researched read on quality treatment for our outer shells. The author has a strong background in physics and clinical research, and their diction indeed confirms that this is a brilliant open mind that truly wants to help the reader be as comfortable in their skin as possible solely using home remedies, exposing ham-fisted sensationalist talk for what it is while countering it with beautifully written and well-sourced methods for skincare. As if that weren’t enough, several links from similarly sourced articles are left at the end of each chapter for anyone wishing to read more on whatever jumped out at them. However, while the novel covers homemade remedies in great meticulous detail (there’s a recipe that involves lemons and vinegar!), it fails to touch on the validity of external skincare methods such as surgery options or clinic treatments, an oversight which cost it a couple of stars. Regardless, this is a fantastic read for anyone looking to pamper their skin from the comfort of their own home and is recommended for any who fall under that category.

Incorrect dangerous advice
She advice to use lemon on your face. It can burn your skin with that pH level. Please do your research and not blindly listen to her. smh

I highly recommend this book!
Excellent book! I have already told several girlfriends about It! Rachel knight describes a holistic approach on how to look younger than our age and who doesn’t want to look younger than their actual age ! This book is broken down into sections , which are easy to follow. There is even a great section on nutrition . If you want to learn how to have youthful skin and how to keep it that way, this is the book for you !

This book did not contain overly complicated scientific mumbo jumbo, it was simple and easy to understand and offered some really helpful information. Rachel writes in such a way that you can’t help but feel obliged to follow her instructions. There was also a mixture of over the counter solutions as well as a few homemade recipes – these were helpful alternatives which I haven’t seen used in a book in this genre before!Definitely worth a read if you are looking for a no nonsense, straight talking book on anti-aging.

I found this really helpful to keep me on track with my diet! It made me realise how lacking my skin care can be. I found the research bit interesting to make you aware about what products to trust and what not to! The author goes in to detail of years of experience when it comes to researching products, which gives it the best of ages so you know the experience is there! It will make you a little more aware of the ways to revamp your skin routine for sure! 5*!

Smart Anti-Aging: Clinically Proven Methods: (and how to tell them apart):This is an informative 34 page book, presented by a well-qualified professional (MSc. and BSc.).Author Rachel Knight gives informative and well-qualified suggestions to help us recognise, understand and deal with aging/anti-aging processes. This is a short sharp presentation which helps us ‘whittle away’ and be less ‘waylaid’ by not always commendable commercial marketing strategies.Easy suggestions as to home remedies are given – always with understanding as to how and why.If the author’s photo on the cover is anything to go by these strategies work.Well done Ms Knight – 5 stars.GOD BLESS.

It was really refreshing to read about beauty from a scientific perspective. We so often don’t question claims made by the beauty industry, this book gives you clear instructions for how to do this for yourself. Having these tools is even more useful than being told by an expert their opinion on each and every product or anti-aging practice! Thank you!

Very poor information, honestly all you need to know is shown in the preview of the book. Also, it repeats itself to desperately fill up pages, that are already in presbyopia friendly print. Not worth buying.
