   Easy to Use
   Besides getting this plastic bottle opened to actually use it, this is a simple operation. I just tried a few problem spots, rough or bumpy or where the skin has sub-dermal oils. Application from the pump spout to my fingers and rubbing on those areas, maybe only for 5 minutes duration while I felt the difference. It was cool with some sense of activity, that being the mild acidic working. Then being careful of my eyes (because of the warnings on the label) washed-off with warm water and patted-dry with a clean towel. Those spots were then considerably more soft and appeared to also be a small shade lighter than the surrounding areas. Also where there had been some mild itching (possibly because of dryness) I felt none. Next I wait and observe for a while, but it looks good and the next step will be a full face wash (with a wash-cloth to avoid accidents) as well as other areas that may have been damaged in the past. This is an inexpensive solution after considering those alternatives available, and it may become a regular cleansing process, better than those soaps that dry or irritate, but still don’t work. I use lots of paints and chemicals, and get dust and abrasive particles on my mostly exposed face. This SA Cleanser might be exactly what I need to get rid of these foreign substances and prevent long-term damage.

   A good, cheap option
   I’m not very skincare savvy, but as far as I can tell, this face wash works pretty well. I have oily skin that’s prone to congestion, so salicylic acid wash is a safe bet. It definitely dries my skin, but once I apply a mattifying moisturizer, I’m good to go. I wouldn’t waste a ton of money on a name brand cleanser that does the same thing this one will. The ONLY thing I don’t like is that they’ve recently changed the pump to one that’s much harder to push down on.

   –Great value for the liquid contents of the bottle. This is AB’s imitation formula of the CeraVe “Renewing SA (salicylic acid) cleanser.” If you are familiar with that product, you will be satisfied with this one…and save $$–the SA in this product is for unclogging and minimizing pores. and it works! This product is like getting a blackhead extraction spa treatment with each wash!! (I am “blessed” with my grandmother’s olive Mediterranean skin, the only caveat being my undermaintained nose pores looked like an orange peel in high school prior to discovering a skin doctor).–and, having seen and worked with many skin doctors, I will anecdotally mention that SA is generally approved by dermatologists, e.g. as a weapon in the anti-aging arsenal. Specifically, SA gives your skin a wonderful chemical exfoliation… forget the apricot scrub!! chemical exfoliation is appropriately gentler for the delicate skin on our beautiful faces–and this product is SLS free (the ingredient that makes soaps foam up, the same ingredient most dermatologists advise eliminating if you are found to have clinically dry or sensitive skin)–small rant: I almost subtracted 1 from the overall score to 4/5 stars because of the bottle. Specifically, the actuator (aka the pump head).–my order arrived intact and without evidence of abuse in transit to the package. like many other liquid dispensation containers with an actuator, you simply twist the pump head in order for it to become usable. Did that and it rose up like normal. But then it tipped over unless I used both hands, one to pump and one to stabilize it.–x10-15 times!…it dispenses the most “chintzy” /measly amount.– I still gave 5/5 stars because these issues relate not to the product, but moreso the product experience…and I probably sound like I dont have enough problems in life if I come down hard on amazon basics because i had to use two hands to dispense my face soap haha…(?- maybe the creators of this cleanser want the product to be rationed like La Mer or Cle de Peau…. maybe it was intentionally designed to limit the amount of product dispensed based on marketing research/focus groups… maybe people used way too much product than necessary, rendering it not as good of a value?)–BUY IT!! Im literally reordering right now, seriously. try it out!

   Great for Oily Skin – Affordable and Effective
   This salicylic acid cleanser has been amazing for my skin! I use it every morning and night, and it does an excellent job of cleansing, especially since I have quite oily skin. I’ve even started receiving compliments about how great my skin looks.It’s affordable, effective, and I’ve had no issues with it so far. I’ll definitely be purchasing this again in the future. Highly recommend! Doesn’t not have terrible or chemical scent.

   Nice cleanser – Pump didn’t work tho
   In all honesty, I don’t ask a lot from a facial cleanser, except to clean well and not leave my skin feeling weird in any way. I let after-shower products do the work my skin needs.This one got my attention, tho, because of the salicylic acid and the good value. I know salicylic acid doesn’t irritate my skin, and the extra exfoliation will help. And unlike other exfoliating products I might forget to use, like before bed or in the morning, I have to clean my face in the shower. So check off two boxes – I won’t forget to exfoliate and it’s not costing me a lot.The product is a clear gel, sort of, but not too thick, and has no scent (love that). It leaves my skin feeling clean with no dryness or weird residue. I haven’t used it enough to prove any discernable difference is definitely because of the cleanser. I’ll be back here with an update if I do. For now, I simply like it. Unless I find something better, and at the same or better price point, I’m sticking with this cleanser.

   Bad pump
   The formula is closer to Cerave than the Walmart dupe I tried. Price is good. Problem was the pump. It did not work. Took it out of bottle to try to fix it and a spring fell out. Guess that is why the pumps are awful, bad spring. I had to go find a pump bottle at Dollar Tree. No spare pumps I have at home would fit the bottle/neck of the Amazon face wash. The face wash itself is really good. I used Cerave SA for years but times are tough. This is a good substitute.
