Lots of Great Information!
This book is very well organized. There is a nice balance between information and recipes. Each section is clearly defined and the introduction to each type of product is helpful. The recipes in the book are divided by skin type which I really appreciate. The recipes look fun to make and try. I like to use natural ingredients on my skin and that is the focus of this book. I would have appreciated more information about safely preserving the products made. But the focus of this book is for things to make for yourself at home. I will be trying many of these recipes. Thank you for the great information and recipes.

Packed with a ton of great information!
This book is a must read. It’s packed full of very knowledgeable information. Very nicely laid out, and very easy to understand. Whether you are a beginner or advanced. You will find this book very helpful. It will help you be able to market your certain target. With all the information on different skin types and what you’d want to use for those skin types. Loads of formulations as well. This book is a must. You won’t regret it. It’s full of information and formulations. Also loved the ingredients dictionary very informative. Looking forward to getting more of her books. Very well worth it!

Nice little DIY book for skincare… Loved it
I am pretty critical on DIY books… I like to see content that is practical and of value. I really enjoyed this book. I am excited to try some of the recipes, and have access to a lot of the ingredients already. For those that need ingredients, there are several online retailers that sell everything you need reasonably. Recipes are simple and minimalistic. The chosen ingredients are of value to the finished product without anything extra, which keeps costs at a minimum. I really liked the organization of the book, and the images that were selected. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this book at all… it’s a nice little DIY book for skincare!

Disappointed
Has potential but lacks some pretty significant pieces. For example, there are recipes that list ingredients but then fail to include in the step by step. Also recipes that combine oil and water but don’t call for preservative, and don’t explain that this means it will only last a few days in the fridge. Gave two stars because some parts explain things well, but not where it’s needed. Almost as if they had a great concept for a book but then gave up, and had nobody proof read. Bummed

Made myself a moisturiser for the first time today. The book goes in to great deal about the different ingredients and their uses. Love it

Sorry but this book is awful! I’ve no idea why it has so many good reviews! There are spelling mistakes throughout, ingredients listed that are then not in the instructions and vice versa. She uses EVERY type of measurement you can imagine throughout the book – will it be US cups, grams, oz, mls, tsps or no measurements at all! Just confusing instructions throughout: “put the rose water and butters in a pan until melted. THEN warm the rose water before adding…”?? “Lavender and Gingerbread fragrance” “this is great if you dont like Lavender”… ?!? Began to not trust the recipes because of so many mistakes and conflicting instructions so not going to use. Just glad I only paid £2.30 for the kindle edition.

The content of the book is good, but for the price, it has a very cheap feel to it. Photos are poor quality, blurred and black and white. I ordered this as a gift, but due to the poor quality, I will not be giving this to anyone!
