Lifts dirt well BUT badly needs a carpet height adjustment feature like Dyson’s head
I compared the original vacuum drive head on our V10 Dyson which we absolutely love with this one and took the time to include pictures for others, including comparative weight/heft in case someone else will find it useful. In summary, the Dyson is better because this replacement head that I ordered does not provide the function to adjust for carpet height. Even with our low-pile carpet area rug its suction pulled down the head drive causing comparatively more effort to vacuum the area rug compared to the Dyson. That being said, it cleaned what dust there was on the carpet, superbly. And, there was no compromise effect on our wood floors. If you have a thicker pile carpet/rug you may struggle with it.But, I am glad that I ordered it because it looks and feels as quality and clicked right into it’s vacuum tube receiver on our Dyson and worked. I also weighed them on my postage scale thinking that, often with robustness and durability comes a little more weight. As you can see in the photos, the Dyson (see Dyson trademark on the vacuum head in the photo for reference) is a little bit heavier than this non-original Dyson head, but not that significant. Hoping this helps someone else.

Works well & decent price
So far so good! Works great with my old V6 Animal. It’s a little noisier than the original but does the job. It has great suction and is harder to push on my carpet, but hasn’t gotten stuck yet. The hair removal vanes work well too, don’t think the original had that feature. I had my original head for about 8 years and the bristles had all worn off, hope this one lasts a long time as well!

Turns a V7 into a whole new Animal!
We have a several-year-old V7 Animal that has served us well. The pads and bristles on the power attachement were starting to look a little rough, so it was time for a replacement. Rather than just find an aftermarket replacement for the original attachment, I decided to spend a little more on an upgrade. What an upgrade! We have a shedding dog, and rugs that used to take multiple passes to clean now take 2-3 easy sweeps. I have an outdoor rug under my office chair (because it wears well) that has always been nearly impossible to clean because of the deep grooves in the pattern, but now looks like new. The attachment fits well, and flexes where it should.

Works and fits, drains battery
Yes it works with my existing Dyson! My old Dyson head was dying where the brush only spun 50% of the time. Got this. It fits. It works. But it’s loud (not really a problem for me) and the battery life now stinks (super annoying). I could use my vacuum for 12 minutes (regular, not max mode) before this new head, but now it’s 3 minutes.
